What is the Event?

The Ontario Fall Finals is an exciting championship show that showcases the skills of qualifying riders from various circuits. Each competitor gathers points throughout the season to earn their spot in this prestigious event.  The top 7 competitors in each division from each show circuit will be invited to compete at The  Ontario Fall finals Show 

This years event will be held November 19-22 2026

Ontario Fall Finals Division Specs

Lead Line Division

Riders in this division must be led by a capable attendant.  Riders in this division may not cross enter into any other division at the show.  If the attendant is a junior they must wear a helmet.

Classes in this division are Best turned out, Walk only, Walk trot

Walk Trot Division

This division is open to beginner riders of all ages.  Riders in this division may not have previously shown in any horse show requiring them to jump ( including cross rails ) .  Riders in this division may also cross enter into the walk,trot,canter division.

Classes in this division are Equitation, hack, command, obstacle/poles

Walk Trot Canter Division

This division is open to beginner riders of all ages  Riders in this division may not have previously shown in any horse show requiring them to jump anything other than cross rails.   Riders in this division may also cross enter into the walk/trot division OR their age appropriate crossrails division.

Classes in this division are Equitation, hack, command, obstacle/poles

Cross Rail Division 

This division is open to beginner riders who have not previously shown in any horse show requiring them to jump higher than 2’.  Riders in cross rails will  be split into separate divisions by age.  Junior cross rails is open to riders 12 and under.  Senior Cross rails  is open to riders who are  13 years and older .

Courses will consist of a simple track of 8 cross rails.  2 refusals will constitute elimination

Classes in this division are Hunter over cross rails, Equitation over cross rails, Hunter under saddle, equitation on the flat.  Riders in this division may also enter the walk trot canter division OR the Intro hunter division. 


Intro Hunter Division

This division is open to riders who have not previously shown in any division requiring them to jump higher than 21".  Riders in this division may also compete in the cross rails division.  Courses will consist or verticals only at a height of 18".  2 refusals will constitute elimination.  Classes in this division are hunter over fences, equitation over fences, hunter under saddle, equitation on the flat

Novice Hunter Division

This division is open to beginner riders who have not previously shown in any recognized horse show in a division requiring them to jump higher than 2’.  Riders in this division may also compete in the hack division as well as the Equitation on the Flat class.  Courses will consist of verticals only at a height of 2', no oxers.  2 refusals will constitute elimination. Classes in this division are 4 hunter over fences, hunter under saddle 

 Modified Pony Division 

This division is open to small ( up to 12.2h) medium (exceed 12.2 but not over 13.2h) and large (exceed 13.2 but not over 14.2h) ponies. Heights will be adjusted by pony size - Small 2’, medium 2’3”, large 2'6”.   Distances will not be adjusted. The division will consist of 4 over fences and 1 under saddle. Only open to riders who are junior status. Riders in the division must be age appropriate for the size of the pony.  Small and Medium ponies riders must be 14 years or younger.  Large pony riders must be 17 years or younger.

 2’3” Open Hunter Division

This division is open to all riders on horses or ponies. Distances will not be adjusted for ponies. The division will consist of 4 over fences and 1 under saddle.

 2’6” Open Hunter Division

This division is open to all riders on horses or ponies. Distances will not be adjusted for ponies. The division will consist of 4 over fences and 1 under saddle.

 2’9” Open Hunter Division

This division is open to all riders on horses or ponies. Distances will not be adjusted for ponies. The division will consist of 4 over fences and 1 under saddle.

Equitation Over Fences

Open to junior/amateur riders.  Riders will compete over an equitation style course at the height they compete at in their regular division.

Open to junior/amateur riders



Hack Division

Open to horses and ponies.  Classes will consist of Road Hack, Show Hack and Pleasure Hack. 


2' Jumper division

Open to horses and ponies.  All classes will be run under table A rules. The division will consist of Clear round ( multiple rounds allowed and will be charged accordingly ) immediate jump off class x 2 and a speed class.  2 refusals will constitute elimination  All horses/ponies must be under control.  Dangerous riding will constitute elimination at the judge’s discretion.


2’3” Jumper Division

Open to horses and ponies.  All classes will be run under table A rules. 2’6” Jumper Division

2’9” Jumper Division

The division will consist of Clear round ( multiple rounds allowed and will be charged accordingly ) immediate jump off class x 2 and a speed class.  2 refusals will constitute elimination  All horses/ponies must be under control.  Dangerous riding will constitute elimination at the judge’s discretion.


 

Jumper Medal

Open to horses and ponies ridden by a junior/amateur.  This class will consist of both a jumping and a flat phase.   Course will be of a jumper equitation style.  Riders will compete at the height of their regular jumper division  2 refusals will constitute elimination.  Scoring 60% over fences and 40% on the flat.  All horses/ponies must be under control.  Dangerous riding will constitute elimination at the judge’s discretion.


 

Mini Prix

Open to horses and ponies.  run under table A rules. This will not be an immediate jump off  Riders will compete at the height of their regular jumper division  2 refusals will constitute elimination  All horses/ponies must be under control.  Dangerous riding will constitute elimination at the judge’s discretion.
